OUR VISION

An Africa that boasts sufficient healthy food for its peoples.
An Africa that ensures a healthy environment free of harmful chemicals often transmitted through water, air and the soil, and an Africa whose agroecology remains in its pristine form.

OUR MISSION

To carry on continent-wide advocacy on safe and sustainable food sufficiency, safe environment, and a balanced agroecology, all against a backdrop of Climate Change awareness, for the benefit of Africans

Welcome

WHO WE ARE

We are a group of professional journalists from across Africa who are dedicated to the promotion of the benefits of safe environment and the health of Africans through agricultural practices that work in tandem with nature.
Journalists Go Organic is a non-profit organisation run entirely on private donations and grants.

We are equally dedicated to knowledge-sharing amongst African journalists on the developments and innovations that will encourage intra-African businesses.
However, having realised that a race is on against the deteriorating health of the earth and its inhabitants, and the effects of climate change, every citizen has to be involved.
We have therefore decided to go the way of Citizens Journalism.
Through Citizens Journalism we empower individuals to say no to toxins of any type in our society and stop the use of fertilisers, pesticides and herbicides that are dangerous to health .

A MESSAGE FROM

The Convener

People’s health can deteriorate very fast and climate change is threatening to overrun the world. We must act fast to be able to arrest the tide. We must use nature to cure some of the strange diseases and illnesses bedeviling our society through healthy agricultural practices.

We, therefore, must work with experts and stakeholders who have agreed to help us in providing answers and solutions to some of the questions. This is vital because when we treat nature well it reciprocates. Nature gives back what has been given to it.
Advocating Eco-friendliness is a collective responsibility.
Therefore, we must up our game as individuals to lend a helping hand to our society.

A MESSAGE FROM

The Chairman, Board of Trustees

Preservation and Conservation of Biodiversity are sacrosanct.
At Journalists Go Organic, everyone is a journalist, everyone is a reporter. Citizens are involved irrespective of their profession.
We are farmers, researchers, processors, consumers, and we are all involved.
We need a holistic approach to farming that upholds the principles of food sovereignty.
The underlying driver of biodiversity loss is unsustainable human activity and behaviour.
Therefore, we must take care of what we release into the environment and what we put into our bodies, hence, the saying that we are what we eat.
Together we can spread the information on the dangers of unhealthy farming practice.
Together, we can spread the right information on healthy farming process and together, we can put safe and nutritious food on our table.
We must all be involved in saying no to strange illnesses and diseases, and the effects of climate change.
There is also an overwhelming need for policy makers to design the necessary laws to provide adequate legal frameworks to drive the required innovations.
In this respect, it behoves on all of us – the governors and the governed – to ensure and sustain better food, a better environment, and a better life, for all of us in Africa.
